Every semester, thousands of UNIPORT students bought expensive textbooks from bookshops — only to find out that students in higher levels were selling the same books for 60% less. The same problem existed for laptops, hostel furniture, and study equipment. There was no central, trusted place to connect buyers and sellers on campus.
A group of UNIPORT Engineering students decided to build the solution themselves. After weeks of design, coding, and testing with fellow students, UNIPORT Market launched as the first dedicated student marketplace for the University of Port Harcourt.
